This Privacy Policy is to inform visitors on how Artie Technologies Inc. (“Artie”) collects, uses, and processes the personal information we collect about you in the course of business on Artie’s website, artie.com and within our product dashboard, app.artie.com (“Websites”). Any capitalized words not defined herein shall have the meaning set forth in Artie’s Terms of Service.

Information you provide
Certain parts of our Websites may ask you to provide personal data voluntarily. For example, we may ask for your email and name in order to register and log in to our dashboard. We may also ask for your contact details in areas around support, subscribing to our newsletter, and demo requests. The personal data you are asked to provide and the reasons you are asked to provide it will be made clear at the point of collection.
Information we automatically collect
When you visit our Websites, we may collect certain information automatically from your device. In the EU, some of this data may be considered personal data. Information that we collect may include your IP address, device type, unique device identification numbers, browser type, and general geographic location. We may also collect information regarding how you have interacted with our Websites.
Information we receive from third parties
We may employ third-party companies and individuals from time to time, including:
- To facilitate our Service;
- To provide the Service on our behalf;
- To perform Service-related services;
- To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used; and
- To help us generate additional leads
These third parties have access to your personal information only to the extent necessary to perform tasks assigned to them on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for any other purpose.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Providing, operating, and improving the Artie Services and Websites;
- Processing transactions and sending related communications such as invoices and account notifications;
- Responding to support requests and communicating with you about your account;
- Sending newsletters, product updates, and marketing communications (you may opt out at any time);
- Analyzing usage trends to improve our products and user experience;
- Detecting, preventing, and addressing security threats, fraud, or illegal activity; and
- Complying with legal obligations and enforcing our agreements
Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or as required by applicable law. Account information is retained for the duration of your account and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Upon termination or expiration of your services agreement, we will delete Customer Data within sixty (60) days, unless we are required by law to retain it longer. Any retained Customer Data will remain subject to our confidentiality obligations and will not be used for any other purpose. Aggregated and de-identified data, which cannot be used to identify you, may be retained indefinitely.
If you would like to request deletion of your personal information before the end of the applicable retention period, please see the “Your Privacy Rights” section below.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- Service providers. We work with third-party companies that help us deliver and improve our services. These providers may access your personal information only as necessary to perform their tasks on our behalf. Categories of service providers we use include cloud infrastructure providers (such as Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services), payment processors, customer support and communications tools, analytics and product monitoring tools, and sales and marketing platforms. Enterprise customers may request our current sub-processor list by contacting privacy@artie.com. We will provide an up-to-date list and notify you of material changes consistent with our Data Processing Agreement.
- Business transfers. If Artie is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your personal information may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will provide notice before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose your information if we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to comply with applicable law or legal process, protect the rights, property, or safety of Artie or others, or detect or prevent fraud or security threats.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. We describe these rights below and explain how to exercise them.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights:
- Right to Know. You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources from which we collected it, the purposes for which we use it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
- Right to Delete. You may request that we delete personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., where retention is required to complete a transaction, comply with a legal obligation, or for security purposes).
- Right to Correct. You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
- Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If this practice changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide an opt-out mechanism.
- Right to Non-Discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.
You may also designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf.
Other U.S. State Residents
Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights, including rights to:
- Access and obtain a copy of your personal information
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete your personal information
- Port your personal information to another service
We will honor such requests to the extent required by applicable state law.
International Users
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you may have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or equivalent local legislation, including rights to:
- Access and receive a copy of your personal data
- Rectification of inaccurate personal data
- Erasure of your personal data
- Restriction of or objection to processing
- Data portability
We comply with applicable international data protection frameworks to the extent they apply to our activities.
How to submit a privacy rights request
To exercise any of the rights described above, please contact us at privacy@artie.com with the subject line “Privacy Rights Request.” Please include your full name, the email address associated with your account, and a description of your request. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
California and other U.S. state residents (CCPA/CPRA and state law)
We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 calendar days of receipt. If we require additional time (up to a further 45 days), we will notify you of the extension and the reason before the initial 45-day period expires.
EEA, UK, and Switzerland residents (GDPR and equivalent frameworks)
We will respond to your request within one calendar month of receipt. Where your request is complex or we have received a large number of requests, we may extend this period by up to two additional months. We will notify you of any such extension within the first month, explaining the reason for the delay.
Data Processing Agreement
For enterprise customers and other users whose use of the Artie Services involves the processing of personal data on their behalf, Artie acts as a data processor (or “service provider” under the CCPA) and processes that data in accordance with our Data Processing Agreement (DPA). The DPA governs the handling of Customer Data, sub-processor relationships, data subject rights, security obligations, breach notification, and international data transfer mechanisms. Cookies
A cookie is a small data file that is stored on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies allow a site to recognize your browser on return visits and may store preferences and other information. You can set your browser to refuse all cookies or to alert you when a cookie is being sent. However, some website features or services may not function properly without cookies. We use the following types of cookies:
- Strictly necessary cookies required for the Websites to function;
- Analytics cookies that help us understand how visitors interact with our Websites; and
- Preference and marketing cookies that remember your settings and support our marketing activities.
Any service providers we use to help understand website visitors are contractually prohibited from using information collected on our behalf for any purpose other than helping us conduct and improve our business.
Links to Other Sites
Our Websites may contain links to third-party websites or services. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
How does Artie keep my personal data secure?
Artie stores all the personal information on leading and robust cloud service providers like Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services. Artie uses industry-standard security protocols (such as encryption at REST, “Least Privilege” principle) to protect personal data. In addition our Websites are served with SSL and server software is continuously updated with the latest security patches.
- Data at rest are all encrypted with AES-256 or hashed with SHA-256.
- Data in transit are all secured via TLS.
- Secrets are managed centrally using industry-standard encryption.
While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no security system is impenetrable. If you believe your account or information has been compromised, please contact us immediately at privacy@artie.com.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by providing additional notice such as a notification in the Artie dashboard or an email to the address associated with your account. We advise you to review this page periodically for any changes.
